The decision to move to Adelaide was an easy one but living all by myself was equally challenging. By the time I took a second attempt at ELICOS and cleared it, I had drawn passionate interest in another subject, i.e., information systems.
At times, I even used to daydream about sitting in the classroom and gaining new knowledge. Earlier, while pursuing the Master of Science program, I tried making minor changes such as my friend circle or the modules to make the experience more positive. My professors suggested that such tweaks would help me meet my academic goals. But due to my loneliness, I felt a bit lost.
My career aspirations changed by the time the 1st semester was over. At a point in time, I once decided to switch to the part-time program as I was struggling with the workload. My loneliness was one of the reasons for failing the ELICOS on the first attempt. Since I completed only one semester, I believe this would be the right time to change my course. Hence, I have decided to enroll to the Business Information Systems program at Torrens University.
The unique structure of the program integrates theory with practice and will allow me to learn disciplines like enterprise systems, business change management, and business process analysis. A rigorous and engaging classroom experience will not only impart knowledge of IT and organizational relationships but also provide me with an opportunity to cement it through practical applications. After successfully completing the course, my immediate goal would be to work at higher echelons in a range of industries. Pursuing a master’s program in Information Systems from your coveted university will give me industrial exposure, international experience, and prepare me for higher positions of responsibility that I will relish for life.
