I am one of the students actively seeking hands-on support for my depression-related problems but so far, the experience has been discouraging because I am unable to schedule an appointment for the same whether online or in-person. Mental health appointments and other similar appointments were apparently down or too far away to get through. The only details given to us was a phone number to call. After speaking with the person, I feel that I need something more than a phone call conversation, in fact, a Google Meet would be very helpful. For the last couple of weeks, I have been lacking motivation to keep up with my studies and both I and my roommates are feeling burned out and are getting behind on our curriculum. I strongly feel that the college must be more proactive in providing support rather than make this situation more stressful. Not only is it extremely difficult to obtain mental health support services but it has become frustrating too. A lack of a strong support system in this institution has led me to take a mindful decision to apply for a transfer to another college and continue the (BSc Honours) Accounting and Finance program.

It is only after a rigorous research process that I have decided to continue my higher education at the University of Northampton in Germany. I discovered that in my chosen discipline, German Universities are ranked amongst the top colleges that impart Master studies in Accounts and Finance. Furthermore, learning with a diverse student community in a global setting, I will collaborate effectively with my peers to enable mutual aggrandising of our skills through the distinct set of knowledge and experience, I will bring to your progressive campus. Another important reason behind my chosen institution is my uncle, Dr Patrice Seuwou, who is presently a Lecturer in Digital Business. He is one of the senior lecturers in the Faculty of Business and Law. His presence at the University will give me assurance that someone will always be available to guide me until the end of my program. In addition to this, throughout my studies, I will receive extensive support from the University of Northampton. They have a variety of resources and services to help make my time at the University as comfortable and rewarding as possible. Their services provide assistance in a variety of areas, including academics, mental (which is very important to me), and physical health, disabilities, and general student support.

At the esteemed University of Northampton, the Accounting and Finance BSc Honours course envisages a thorough understanding of the ideas and practises of business financial operations in today’s international financial markets. The university procedures taught by the faculty will help me understand how to apply the optimal capital structure studies and the mergers and acquisitions derivatives of finance microstructure and taxation. All this together will whet my econometric and mathematical skills, taught best only here for understanding better the empirical research and data modelling applied in Accounting and Finance.

I am committed to concluding my studies at the University of Northampton with desired success and exemplary conduct. Post completion of my Bachelors program, my plan is to continue on academic promenade and seek admission into the Master’s program in Accounting and Finance discipline. My parents also live in Frankfurt, Germany, and this would be an excellent opportunity to reunite with them since they are well-aware about my mental health condition and are waiting for my return.
